While using Mozilla Firefox, you might have experienced some issues when printing PDFs from your Appath account. Issues like faded, poor quality PDF prints or even blank or black PDF previews.
In order to fix this, you will need to disable the standard PDF viewer and enable Adobe Reader/Acrobat’s PDF viewer. You can always download Adobe Reader here, free of charge. Also, please make sure that you are always using the latest version of Firefox.
First, let’s make sure you are using the latest version of Firefox. To do this, you will need to follow the instructions below:
- if you’re on a Mac: go to Firefox at the top of the Firefox window and click on About Firefox. Firefox will then begin checking for updates.
- if you’re on a PC: go to Firefox at the top of the window, then click on Help and choose About Firefox
Now, let’s go ahead and disable the built-in PDF viewer. To do this, please follow the below instructions,
- if you’re on a Mac: go to Firefox at the top, click on Preferences, then Applications at the top and search for ‘PDF’. Here, click on the Action button and choose Adobe Acrobat from the drop-down.
- if you’re on a PC: go to Firefox at the top, click on Options, then Applications at the top and search for ‘PDF’. Here, click on the Action button and choose Adobe Acrobat from the drop-down.
Now, if you go back to view the PDF, you should see the Adobe Reader gray print bar instead of the standard one. Use the Printer icon from this bar to print your label.
